Hello and thank you for visiting my blog. In here, you will find some of my work, my musings... and all that good stuff! I am a commercial photographer specializing in product photography, fine art photography and portraiture. I conduct photo sessions in the Metro Atlanta Area, at the studio or on location. I retired from the corporate world a few years ago to pursue my passion for photography. I apprenticed with one of the most sought after commercial photographers in the San Francisco Bay Area, John Benson, who has shown me the ropes without reservation... and has continued to give me encouragement and support the last few years. (John, thank you for being my mentor.)

Commercial advertising
Working by myself truly made me appreciate the experience I had in the corporate world, which gives me the edge in knowing what my clients need and want... whether they are good, clean shots of their products or to incorporate an artistic flare to it.
Fine art photography
Fine art photography is my form of self-expression. I danced ballet professionally when I was younger before joining the corporate world (many, many moons ago). I started ballet at the age of 12, fell in love with it, pushed myself beyond my limits... and started dancing with a professional ballet company at the age of 16. You really have to love performing to stay in this field. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
In my old dancing days in Manila (This is where I spent the first 20 years of my life) and the San Francisco Bay Area (afterwards), I was fortunate to study with some of the best teachers who used to be great dancers who have left their footprint in the ballet world.
Portraiture
My goal in portraiture is to capture the subject(s) in their most relaxed state. A lot of times, people like to pose, which is all well and good... so long as the pose is relaxed. The first 15-20 minutes is usually a warm-up session and this is where I try to get on a personal level with the subject(s) I'm working with to help me capture the very essence of who they are and what they're all about. Once the subject(s) starts to relax, the shoot goes very well from there. I will have recommendations on outfits that best suit the subject(s), depending on the occasion or reason for the portrait shoot.
